As part of strengthening the principles of transparency and accountability, improving the management of public services, increasing public participation in the development, monitoring of implementation, and evaluation of public policies, and strengthening trust between organizations subject to the provisions of the Law, individuals and legal entities, and civil society organizations, Article 32 of the Tunisian Constitution enshrines the right of access to information as a constitutional right whose exercise is guaranteed by the State. Furthermore, Organic Law No. 2016-22 of March 24, 2016, on the right of access to information, sets out the implementing measures and related procedures.
